Goodbye Challenges
Hello readers and writers! As the maintainer of this community, I would like to extend my thanks to everyone who participated in previous challenges. The work that was produced was wonderful and I very much enjoyed reading the responses. Some of them were very unexpected twists on the prompt, and it was truly great to see the different ways in which one could take an idea and make it their own.
It isn’t so much the community that I consider to be the flop, because a few of the prompts inspired some really great and interesting stories. It is more the prompts themselves that were the flops. I know that if I were to keep this community open, different prompts would inspire different people and more wonderful stories would be produced. Unfortunately, I can’t keep the community open. To be honest, I have too many things going on in my life right now to worry about finding prompts for this community. I am set to go through in vitro fertilization in just a few short days and
amaleka_crone, my co-maintainer, has a few things in her life that she needs to give her attention to.
I would like to extend my thanks (and apologies) to both
vanessagalore and
onceuponapillow for their submissions this round. I thought they were both great and I’m only sorry that there won’t be a vote between them.
And last but not least, I’m going to invite everyone and anyone to post their work here (behind a cut). This is no longer a challenge journal, so as long as it’s VM post ‘em if you got ‘em. ;)
