My stride felt smooth. The air was just below cool, as the sun dug deeper behind the western hills. Breathing was markedly comfortable. However, my right hamstring was less prepared for the impact and rapid contractions that come with running. Although there were subtle discomforts throughout my entire exercise, my body was glad to be running.
