Chocolate SF
From my experience, San Francisco has the best tasting chocolate. I grew up enjoying every variety of cocoa-based candy that could be had for less than a dollar. Hersheys, M&M, Snickers, etc. In the end, the simple chocolates became preferred. Hersheys seemed to stand out as a reliable source of sweet & happy. Particularly, I came to prefer a Hersheys bar with almonds. Then came Ghirardelli. Darker, richer, and sharper. It strikes a smoother chord. Outside the City, I may grab a bag of almond-centered Kisses, but I always wish it were a bag of San Francisco’s finest dark chocolates.
