6 Chapters In

There are several adjectives that will be used to describe these books: Spectacular, epic, incredible, great, etc. None of these can properly describe this series. In trying to describe these books, critics rely too heavily on the keywords that are ordinarily attached to works that merely achieve “bestseller” status. Marketing and commercialism swarm around these books, confounding the spirit of people’s interest in the story. This is a rare occasion, where a written work creates a compulsion of sharing. The proclamation that this set of books is a phenomenon is an exaggeration; It is not unlike the discovery that Monopoly or Risk can be more enjoyable for kids today than most video games. While the media may portray this release as a peculiar craze, it really is quite ordinary. It is that feeling of “I like this, and I think you’ll like it to.” The thing I find strange is how unreceptive people have become to the earnest suggestions of their peers.

I am 6 chapters into Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and I am enjoying it.
