Summer nights
It's 1am and I can't sleep on account of the sudden summer weather. Perhaps, a cool glass of wine will help settle my spirits. It has been a long summer, and I've been long awaiting these sorts of nights. Not just the heat, but the feeling that comes with summer in the South Bay. Life feels adventurous and inviting. The flowers constantly remind me of the renewing energy of the season. Thought it's late in coming, I'm glad summer is finally here.
P.S. I suspect I began writing an entry in February, while I was in Vancouver, but I never finished it. However, Livejournal has saved the draft for me, so I'll add it to this one:
I can hear what sounds like fireworks in the distance. If I weren't 16 stories high, I'd consider running back outside to see what the commotion is. However, after all of today's running about, I'm content just kicking off my shoes and sipping my hot chocolate.
