Election

I was somewhat disappointed with the election, I probably would have been no matter what the outcome was. I do think that Bush is somewhat worse than Kerry, because congress is republican dominated as well, but i think that both would have hurt things far more than they would have been helped. I think one of the biggest problems is just the voters, who get so wrapped up in minimizing the bad stuff that happens to the country that they don't want to think outside the box and vote for someone that will actually help the country. And you know what? That is exactly how the reblublicans and democrats want people to act, like they only have two (similar) choices, they rely on it, it is what gives them their prosperity. Like Michael Badnarik said, if you do what you've always done, you are going to keep getting what you've always got.

Most Americans aren't stupid though, they have been slowly realising that they are getting a pretty raw deal. People who look past the media, who realize that we can't really expect anything at all from these parties (since they just say whatever is going to please the most people) and do some digging may very well find some third parties whose ideals match theirs more precisely, and who could actually be expected to stick by those ideals. Of course, those people have no chance of winning, but the alternative for voting for change is voting to keep things the same, and until the majority sees this we are going to be stuck with choices that get little done.
