I haven't updated in awhile so. . .
I am finding that I often don't have a lot to say here (this is my 14th or so entry)
Sometimes I feel like I cannot say anything without it sounding pretentious or condescending or like bragging.
I think that this is so because at home my dad seems to have gotten the impression that I hate him. My mom says that its because I do not talk to him a lot and when I do I sound like I am talking down to him. Anyone who knows me has probably noticed that I am often not the most talkative person in the world, I would hope that my dad, who had "known" me for almost 19 years would have picked this up at some point. I think that the latter problem comes from the first, sometimes I feel like I have to force myself to talk to him, but I can't make "small talk" because we have so little in common and because I am not a fan of small talk, so I just try to get out of the conversation as soon as possible. At least I have been trying to make an effort to talk to him though, all he does is compalin to mom that I hate him, and puts this stress on me right smack in the middle of finals week. Part of me surely doesn't like him for having this kind of attitude, but you do not have to like someone to love him/her. I really don't know what to do, he seems to purposely misinterpret things so that it seems to him that I hate him, if anyone knows how I can stop this, please feel free to help.
