Somus!

We were in some government class to vote for people "running for presidency" (some little project thingy for them...they'd been working on it for 6 months). And I have to say, they were ill prepared. None were good at speech making, except for one who fainted halfway through. She received sympathy votes. Anyway. I asked a question for all the candidates-

"This is for all the candidates- what are your opinions on the recent debate over whether we should drill in ANWR; should we drill for needed oil in the refuge or focus on finding alternative energy sources?"

A hushed "whoah" murmurs throughout the room. Yes, I actually articulated myself, much better than those who were actually running. I was kind of dissapointed that the candidate I was actually starting to like agreed with alternative energy sources yet started spouting stupid stuff about solar powered cars and solar powered houses. No mention of hydroelectrics? Iceland is currently trying only hydroelectrics as a source of energy, and in 10-15 years will be completely free of fossil fuels. Yay for them. I wish they would've developed their ideas more instead of just stating what they believe on certain general issues and that's it.

I'm dissapointed. A long awaited meeting of History Club was supposed to happen today. I read and highlighted important parts to the 19 articles I gathered to discuss and put them in categories according to the content. When I go there at the end of school, there is a note on the door: "Christine- I was feeling ill and went home. Mrs. Imialek" =/

I got a manicure today, my first time. It was weird. I feel girly. I'm going to be all prettied up at the local beauty college for prom night.

My Mikey Moo has a fever! Everyone wish him well and remind him to drink LOTS OF FLUIDS.
