I gave up on American TV 5 years ago. How weird, when I was back at my home country all I watch is everything American [from news to movies], but upon moving into America, I gave up on following anything American. All I watch is jdramas. But of course, there are exceptions, Psych, Criminal Minds, Bones, Big bang theory, & a British series, Sherlock, Merlin & Doctor Who [which I just started recently].
This list is all the dramas that I have watched. Also, my currently watching list. I decided to do this list, just for the heck of doing it. Also, I'm getting older & memory is declining so this is a good thing to have to keep up on it :) Bottomline: this list is purely for my use. But, some may find it useful too. I put in red the ones that I highly recommend; falls under "a must see, no matter what" esp the bold ones in red xDD the ones in blue are the drama that are in season now that i am watching on a weekly basis as they come out.

14 sai no haha - an ok drama
Absolute boyfriend - mokomichi with hiro = perfect; ok love story with super eye candies
Akai ito - sad pure love story
Asuko March - was hesitant to watch this cause I don't like Takei Emi, but it was really a fun drama (surprisingly good, way beyond my expectations). I like her now. I just really hated her char in taisetsu no koto...but in this drama she's very adorable. A girl in a class bunch of rowdy boys is sure fun. Boys acting tough but really kind hearted are my weakness haha.
Attention Please - funny drama, nothing extraordinary
Bara no nai hana ya - there's so many things i usually hate in a drama that is part of this drama, but i can't hate it. not sure why, but it's probably because it is Shingo. i really really like this drama, that i finished it in 1 day. it was that gooood, at least for me.
Bloody Monday Season 1 & 2 - 1st season i finished in 1 night, it was super interesting, it left me hanging everytime; season 2 i have to watch weekly because i was watching it while it was still airing in japan
Boss Season 1 & 2 - the best detective drama for me, i super love amami yuki; different personalities working together in solving cases, super interesting. Season 2 is good too, the 1st 3 eps were so so but it gets better & better. I really love their team. I want to get on the Nodate party!!
Brother Beat - brotherhood is best shown in this drama, heartwarming
Change - best jdrama for me so far; politics has never been this interesting. kimu taku is superb
Code Blue Season 1 & 2 - good medical drama
Control - as a psychological/detective drama it is lacking many things. i don't see anything new that previous detective dramas/psych dramas haven't done before, but i have to say getting matsushita nao & naoto fujiki to work together is brilliant. they have chemistry i believe. their tandem works so well to me. that's why even though the story is lacking i am still watching every week. their interactions are interesting enough. i love seeing nao's character get hyped and i love seeing naoto's character eat jam bread. actually i watch it just to see naoto eat jam bread. LOL
Detective Academy Q - an ok detective drama; similar to the anime; more like for kids
Dragon Zakura - an ok drama, i guess; watched it super long time ago; only thing i remember is i like it because i see people changed for the better
Freeter Ie Kau - this is a good family drama. i love how the story builds up as you watch every ep. the characters grow unto you everytime.
Godhand Teru - it was interesting, I learn something new every ep, but not very useful; it's like there's no use of it in real life
Gokuesen Season 1 - a good drama, it was interesting enough, but it's just like a repeat every ep when you get to around ep 5/6
Gyne - a good drama, very entertaining
Hana Kimi - ridiculous, but very funny drama
Hana Yori Dango Season 1 & 2 - friendship, love & family, i like it
Haruka 17 - funny drama
Himitsu no Hanazono - this is 1 good drama, the characters were not simple, it offeres you something new every ep
Hotaru No Hikari Season 1 - Very good drama, Buchou & Ahomiya's chemistry is #1
Iryu Medical Team Dragon Season 1 & 2 & 3- very interesting drama; if you work in any medical field & you see this, you'll say, "it's really just drama" not very realistic situations. Season 3 is highly recommended, every ep is a feast. i love how it is too dramatic. I LOVE ASADA!!
Itoshi Kimi E - another sad love story, but naohito is the lead here so it helps a lot
Joker [unforgiving investigators] - this is the most interesting of all dramas of summer 2010; only summer drama i finished
Kaibutsukun - interesting, why? because it's made for the whole family; it has drama, comedy & even action; it was silly, but it made sense at the same time [hard to explain, watch it; it's ohno afterall]
Kaisefu no Mita - interesting, but i think the right word is intriguing. a bit dark for a drama, but at the same time the attack was very new so it will keep anyone's interest up until the last ep.
Kekkon dekinai otoko - this is way long long ago, never thought this is so much fun. i watched the 1st ep back in 2008, i think. but didn't finished it until recently (early 2011). this is really funny. i love abe hiroshi.
Lady Saigo no Hanzai Profile - the plot is very interesting. i love the story every week. but somehow Keiko's acting is not working for me. i love the supporting casts though.
Last Money - it was an ok drama. Interesting story about what people will do for money even if it means someone has to die.
Liar Game Season 1 & 2 - good plot, but the female lead can annoy you; but it's fun because it stimulate your brain somehow
Love Shuffle - this is the best love story for me; it tackles the different dimensions of love
Majo Saiban - because I was bored I decided to watch this just to see the eyecandy that Toma is but it was pretty good, but very bad ending. I'm not a fan of those kinds of endings. I watched this in 1 seating, crazy me
Maou - good suspense drama; very well written i would like to believe; not your typical drama
Mr. Brain - interesting, a detective drama that incorporates the way our brain works
Nobuta Wo Produce - an ok drama, yamapi was funny & kame was a sweetheart so i watched this
Nurse Aoi - good drama
Ogon no buta - it's a good drama with well written plot. It will keep you interested until the last ep.
Oh! My girl - heartwarming drama, love it. I was watching it & my brother who usually hates jdramas watched it with me & when I stopped watching it he was like why are you not watching it? let's watch it. It has an adorable cast.
Ohitorisama - surprisingly good. Mizuki Alisa is quite awesome & she suits the role she is playing. & Teppei of course is just adorable.
Orange days - 1 of the best jdramas that i've seen; it was a long time ago, but it is a must see; friendship & love was portrayed very well in this drama
Orthros no Inu - an ok drama; the idea of the plot was very good, somehow they just couldn't develop a perfect scene from it
Proposal Daisakusen - 1 of the best love story; honest, sincere, pure ...
Rookies - i proclaim that this is the best "passionate teacher + delinquets drama." [sorry gokusen, gto] the bond they all shared is amazing. & ryuta sato was perfect for the role of the compassionate teacher. this drama touch my heart in many ways. i love it.
Ryusei no Kizuna- ok drama, nino's acting is flawless; the swindling activities could have been more interesting
Seigi no mikata - yamada yu is funny, as well as the little sister. mukai osamu is a big bonus.
Sexy Voice & Robo - the funniest jdrama i've watched; it was ridiculous type of comedy, but at the end you learn something; life lessons maybe
Stand Up - an ok drama; shun, nino & yamapi made up for what the drama is lacking
Shinzanmono - very interesting drama, abe hiroshi is perfect here; the way he stares creeps me out sometimes, though
Spec 2 - i love toda erika & kase ryo combi. the drama is very interesting. can't wait for the movie
The Queen's Classroom - 1 of the best; tackles about school bullying; amami yuki is so awesome here
The Quiz Show Season 2 - was an ok drama, but it was somehow interesting; there's something new to learn about the characters every ep
Tokyo Dogs - only watched it because of Shun & Hiro; if it's not them it was an OK drama, honestly the plot was not very well written; the arguments Shun & Hiro [like husband & wife] is the reason i keep watching till the end
Tumbling - very good drama; surprisingly good & interesting. Though I cried more than i expected. I thought it will be more like comedy but for every episode, I think I cry. It's either they're really good or it's my hormones screaming
Uta no Oniisan - if you want to see a cute acorn & angry dog watch this; light drama, comedy about a NEET
Voice - 1 of the best dramas; it's not only a detective drama, the friendship that develop between the characters is something to watch out for; the ridiculous questions that Eita asked every ep actually leads to a wonderful discovery
Taisetsu something - can't remember the title, it's so long. just watched the 1st ep & it kind of weird for me. i think miura is too young to play a teacher. it feels like he could be 1 of his students. somehow the character he play is not fit for him. & i feel no chemistry b/w him & erika. officially the worst drama ever...but still watching. want to know what actually happens in the end. the ending turns out to be good actually. i skipped many parts watching it. i just finished it for the sake of finding what actually happens between the main leads.
Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu - it was just an ok drama, but still I enjoyed it. I finished it mostly because I wanted to find out how Karina's love story will end. Satisfying ending i think.
Yamada Taro Monogatari - 1 of the funniest dramas i've watched, at the same time heartwarming; taro's unconditional love to his family is really admirable; nino's tears were very sincere

Zenkai girl - started off very strong, but ended so weak. The ending is just blah.
Zettai Reido - good detective drama, but lacking something
Currently watching/Stopped watching, but eventually will finish them...hopefully
Akihabara@Deep - who says otakus are no fun
Bambino - never got passed ep1. will try to watch the rest soon
Bartender - actually fun. learning a lot about cocktails makes me want to spend more time in lounge bars to actually try them.
Binbo danshi - I never seen Oguri like this before
Deka Wanko - Tabe Mikako is a adorable being a detective with super smelling skill. Fun drama, but the format every week is the same that's why I have a hard time finishing this drama.
Detective Conan live action - super bad. I've been following the anime & manga for 14yrs & as much as I love Junpei [playing shinichi] this drama does not work for me. It's not the acting, it's the writing. The writing didn't capture the real persons that is Shinichi & Ran.
Don Quixote - brilliant. I love it.
Fuyu no Sakura - got interested all because of sato takeru, i find it weird because they are claiming it to be similar to the likes of winter sonata, but don't see it that way
GM Doctor - love Fire-san, this is a weird but interesting medical drama
Hammer Session - interesting, mokomichi is zettai kakkoi; they said similar to gokusen, but not for me, same genre but attack is very different
Hotaru no Hikari Season 2 - super fun love story, seno kakkoi
Kuitan - Will finish it soon :) Higashiyama-sama & Go being detectives solving crime involving food....this drama is made for me
Kokosei Restaurant - it's Mabo dakara~♥♥♥
Mioka - similar to 1 litre of tears, but it can't compare
Misaki No. 1 - will probably not finish this drama. not interesting enough i guess
Natsuniji - just bad, but it's not the actors it's the story
Q10 - I'm in love with sato takeru, lol. no but it turns out to be a cute drama
Rescue -good, but not quite sure why I haven't finish this yet
Shiawase ni narou yo - I just watching because I love Shingo & Buccho :) Having a hard time finishing it. 12/30/11 2 more eps to go!
Soredemo, ikite yuko - a bit dark for my taste. it's Eita that's why I gave it a try
Sunao ni narenakute - not so good.
Tiger & dragon - i love this. Okada high tension is so much love
Umareru - interesting perspective. lil bit dragging, but still the topic/theme is very new, even controversial i think
Unobore Dake - nagase is entertaining alongside with toma
Yankeekun to Meganechan - narimiya hiroki is always fun to watch, even when he's 30 & still playing
