Hey Aaron, if you see this, I need to talk to you about the trip. Jessica's car is in meh shape and we as a collective were wondering if you'd be willing to drive.
The good part about this is you'd probably end up paying less for gas, and I'd be more inclined to kiss your ass. Not to mention your car gets better miles per gallon and is, in general, in much better shape.
It just kind of makes the most sense.
Call or IM me and we can talk about it more, or you can back out, whatever. I wouldn't take it personally. Jessica's car simply can't handle another trip is all.
