At
www.kidbrothers.net you can listen to all of Rich Mullins songs, in their entirety, including his rare musical about the life of St. Francis of Assisi. Simply click "songs" on the left and there you have a menu of his albums.
Now, I am very biased towards his music because of his admirable life. He took the Fransican vows of obedience, poverty, and chastity. Though a famous musician, he had all of his earnings go to the council of elders at his church. He instructed them to give him the salary of the average person of his area, which was like $24,000 I think. I think he lived in a trailer. His songs are very much based in Scripture, and he is very real with his faith. He is, without doubt, my favorite artist, and one of my greatest role models.
Some recommends from Jake include...
"Boy Like Me/ Man Like You" from the album "The World As Best As I Can Remember It, Vol. 1"
"Hello Old Friends" from the album "The World As Best As I Can Remember It, Vol. 2"
"Peace (A Blessing From St. Joseph's Square) from the album "A Liturgy, A Legacy, And A Raggamuffin Band"
"You Did Not Have A Home" from the album "The Jesus Demos"
and
"Hard To Get" from the album "The Jesus Record" (song by Rick Elias of the Raggamuffins)
I'm pretty sure they just added this feature to the website, because I've been on it fairly regularly in the last year, and I didn't notice the free, full mp3 until recently. So, how long they will stay up.
The Peace of Christ To You,
Jake
