Car... uh, Stuff...

Ah, I finally changed the oil in my car for the first time.  Wow, what a simple task.  The oil sump isn't hard to get to at all, and the oil filter is angled upward, so it doesn't even get much oil on you.  Once that was finished up, my dad noticed that the alternator belt was torn down the center :{  The car will start and run without the belt, but, running purely on battery power, the battery would die in a few mintues.  It's fortunate that Dad caught that, instead of me catching it on the side of the road, trying to figure out why the car suddenly stopped :D  Changing the belt was a pretty easy job too... does car maintenance perhaps bear more bark than bite?
