Stones and Their Master
At this point everyone in the council stared at Stephen becasue his face became as bright as an angel's.

When Moses came down the mountain carrying the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn't aware that his face glowed because he had spoken to the LORD face to face.

Moses was given tablets of stone that endangered the people (the Law brings condemnation, see Romans 3:19-20), and Stephen was given a stoning that claimed his life. But neither the Law nor the fury of man will truly endanger us or claim our Life, if we, like Stephen and Moses, see the LORD face to face...
