Thanks to the musings of
TNTF, I found myself seeking out
Eileen McGann's song from Heritage,
There''ll be more joy somewhere
There'll be more joy somewhere
I'm gonna keep on 'til I find it
There'll be more joy somewhere
Rom 5:3-5We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
There''ll be more peace somewhere
There'll be more peace somewhere
I'm gonna keep on 'til I find it
There'll be more peace somewhere
Phil 4:4-7Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
There''ll be more love somewhere
There'll be more love somewhere
I'm gonna keep on 'til I find it
There'll be more love somewhere
1 John 3:6; 17-20 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
from the Thanksgiving:
Father of all, we give you thanks and praise,
that when we were still far off you met us
in your Son and brought us home.
Dying and living, he declared your love,
gave us grace, and opened the gate of glory.
May we who share Christ's body live his risen life;
we who drink his cup bring life to others;
we whom the Spirit lights give light to the world.
Keep us firm in the hope you have set before us,
so we and all your children shall be free,
and the whole earth live to praise your name; through Christ our Lord.
