Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me.
~ 1 Corinthians 15:10
Oh 2020 ... We've had better, been better.
Still, we press on... afflicted perhaps,
perplexed but still not crushed, despairing or forsaken.
. . . . .
The night is dark but I am not forsaken
For by my side, the Saviour He will stay
I labour on in weakness and rejoicing
For in my need, His power is displayed
To this I hold, my Shepherd will defend me
Through the deepest valley He will lead
Oh the night has been won, and I shall overcome!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

Lord, if I needed it, You would let me keep it,
so I open my hand to You today.
Send whomever You will & take away whoever You will.
I’ll praise You when they come & I’ll praise You when they go,
because my hope and faith is built on
nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
- the Vine & the branches (
link);
- - "He cuts off every branch.. that bears no fruit, while every branch
that does bear fruit he prunes . .. even more fruitful."
- - "apart from me, you can do nothing"
- "In Him all things hold together." Col 1: 17
& "... it will be okay because we have faith. "
which is to say, to remind that - -
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere / so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For,
" In just a little while,
he who is coming will come
and will not delay. "
" But my righteous one will live by faith.
And I take no pleasure
in the one who shrinks back. "
But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.
And remembering too - why costuming? - what set me on that path, what could I carry from there to another sector? - a desire to serve, to create, to collaborate, to facilitate, being behind-the-scenes, making something happen ...
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion-
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendour.
