It's World Theatre Day today & a bittersweet one at that. Due to the wide-ranging effects of the coronavirus / Covid-19 pandemic, I can't be today in a place I'd love to be, the place where I usually am found: my workroom at the theatre ... creating, collaborating, dreaming; serving those around me & facilitating their needs.

Creator God, Source of all life,
from you comes the inspiration & the talent to create.
Encourage those who seek through the performing arts to portray faithfully the struggles, hopes, tears & laughter of life's journey.
Inspire them by your Spirit; give them humility in success & hidden reserves when the going is tough.
Bless all who work in the sacred spheres of stage & studio, that they might be a source of healing, hope & unity in our broken world.
