short story (bit random as wel)

It was a cold dark night. The wind howled through the trees as the rain came down in icy sheets. The rain lapped her face as she ran through the trees and across the field. The wind and the anger that possessed her drove her onwards. She did not know where she was running to; she just knew that she had to run to be free. To make the world around her disappear so she could be alone, alone with her anger.

The wind rose up pushing her onwards. A sudden sound of roaring came to her ears. She was near the sea. She found her self slowing down as she did so; she looked at her surroundings and found she was at the cliff edge. She looked across the black roaring water trying to find an answer as to why.

Why had these things happened to her? She looked down at the roaring waters crashing in to the perilous rocks beneath her, and felt as though she was being enveloped by those waters. She wished to be at the bottom of the sea where the cruelties of the world could no longer harm her or the people she loved.
She raised her arms as if to embrace the sea. The wind and the rain grew in intensity as she stepped closer to the cliff’s edge. It seamed as if the sea was calling her, welcoming her to its embrace.

She took one final step towards the sea. Closing her eyes she felt as if her spirit was pushing her to the inevitable.
The sea seamed to call to her again as she felt her self move towards the roaring of the black waters. But it was strange, the voice she was hearing calling to her was one which she recognized. She felt a grip round her wrist pulling her back from the cliff edge.

“Rosalyn” said a deep and powerful voice. Rosalyn opened her eyes and there clutching her in his arms was Edwin Lucy. “oh thank God” exclaimed Edwin and embraced her with startling affection.
