just got home a bit ago from seeing charlie nd the chocolate factory.
anyone who knows me knows i'm a fan of the original film, and they also know how huge of a depp fan I am.
that said. I've been hyping up and looking forward to this movie for years, since it was announced in the first place, before i even knew who was cast.
with that being the situation...i guess i'm a bit dissappointed.
1 because it's not quite what i was expecting...
2 because after all the waiting it's over...
and 3 because I just think it could have been better
it was an amazing film, some of the most imaginative and unbelievably awesome effects and landscapes i've ever seen.
depp is great in the role, but those were huge shoes to fill, and the feet that he uses aren't the right shape.
I can't decide whether I'm happy or dissappointed really, I loved it, but I feel like there could have been more.
Regardless i reccommend seeing it, i'm probably going to see it again to give myself a better judgment.
