Keep those fingers crossed!!
I got the most exciting call on Friday, I have potential donor!! I'm trying not to get too excited because I don't want to get my hopes up if their blood sample doesn't pass the testing. I had to go in Saturday morning to get my blood drawn because they need a sample within the same time the potential donor goes in for their blood work, which is this Monday. From there they will do cross matching and tissue typing, basically seeing how my body will take to it. I have no idea who it is, I'm apparently not allowed to know unless the person actually tells me themself. Patient confidentiality and so far no one has come forward to me or my family. I would like to thank this person immensely but I can't. I am however, keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that they are indeed a good match.
