I was starting to wonder if Naruse was actually Hideo's brother or not, and then at the end...! I kept having to watch parts of this episode again to make sure I get it, haha. I was confused at first. But the sleazy investigator guy is right, he really is Manaka Tomoo, taking on the name of his friend Naruse Ryo after he died! I rewatched the part with the sister at the beginning, and it makes sense- the sister is blind, so she apparently can't tell that it's not really Ryo. Plus the flashback scene with the watermelon, that was the real Ryo telling Tomoo about it. Maybe I'm just slow, haha.
But what really got me in this episode is how badly Naruse really wants to be caught. The guilt on his face when he found out that Sora got beat up at kindergarten! And when he was talking to Shiori, who seemed to understand him, although of course she has no idea that it's him. His obvious guilt for involving her (especially since he's obviously falling for her), especially his memory of her saying that she feels like she's being used by the devil. And later, talking to Serizawa. He really wants to be stopped, but like he said to Shiori when she was sleeping, he can't stop now. Even though what he's doing is obviously evil, he still has his humanity left, and he's beginning to realize that even more than the people around Serizawa that he's indirectly killing, but other innocents are being hurt too- like Sora and her mother.
Ooooh, and I finally got to read chapter 63 of Ouran! Oh Tamaki, you can't be dense much longer~
