I decided that today will be a good day.

So I am currently wondering why I have not really listened to Arashi's older albums until now. I dl'ed them a while ago, and sometimes I would put my Arashi playlist on random and hear a few songs, but I am currently listening to Iza, Now and it's fantastic. I love it. I also need to spend more time listening to Here We Go and How's It Going. I don't think I'll be disappointed. It's Arashi, after all.

Speaking of JE, Gemma said that she feels like she's coming over to the dark side, cuz she dl'ed two Kanjani 8 songs: Naniwa Iroha Bushi and Oh! Enka. I told her with Kanjani 8 it's more like the rainbow side, but I like to think of it as the amazing side. Come over onto the amazing side of JE, Gemma! It may eat your soul, but you'll be happy all the while. Haha.

So I have recently discovered that one of the kids in my church's youth group watches a bit of anime and thinks Japan isn't cool but isn't nerdy and otaku about it. Sweet. I had fun times talking to him (and a couple of other people) last night at youth group. My youth pastor's wife Ashley is the best ever. I love her. She's really sweet and funny. Last night at youth group, we played this ridiculous game where basically two people walk straight towards each other, keeping eye contact, and you have to walk around the other person and keep eye contact while walking back to the end of the line of people (because the two teams are lined up on either side) and if you smile or laugh, you get put on the other team. It was pretty hilarious. I sucked really bad at first, but once I calmed down a bit I got better. XD I hope my explanation makes sense...haha.

Today is a good day so far. The weather is AMAZING. It's sunny and totally warm. I lingered after Japanese today because I needed to go over my one-minute speech with Ito-sensei, and I was able to enjoy the amazingness of pirated DS games on the R4 that Jamie gave me. (Jamie, you are the best ever!!!) I played Kirby Squeak Squad. I love Kirby games. ♥ I was also able to meet an exchange student named Yurika (I'm able to remember because she said it's like Eureka, the place, haha). Apparently she was an exchange student for a year back in 2004, and she was a tutor then. Of course, all the students are different now. But she helped me with my one-minute speech, and we talked about dramas, and what guys are like in Japan (she doesn't like it when guys are overly fashionable cuz they'll be like checking their hair in the reflection in the window of the trains XD), and other such things. And she complimented my Japanese handwriting. :D :D :D I'm proud to say that the majority of this conversation was conducted in Japanese (although, since she's been a tutor before, she was careful to make sure I could understand what she said, but still!). She's really sweet, I liked her a lot.

So then, after talking to Yurika, I took my one-minute speech to Ito-sensei's office... Okay, it's about Yamapi, guys. I am lame, I know, but I really couldn't think of anything else to talk about! Apparently Ito-sensei thought it was lame too cuz she was like また?!(Again?!) Haha. Since my first speech was on JE in general, and my second one was on HanaKimi... ^_^'' I'm really going to have to think of something non-fandom related for my next one-minute speech, before Ito-sensei thinks the only reason I'm learning Japanese is because of the pretty boys (it's NOT the whole reason, okay? I swear). Anyway, she thought it was good, and she complimented me on my ability to write a good paragraph, which she attributes to me being an English major. Apparently some people's one-minute speeches that they bring in don't make sense. XD Although when I talked about Yamapi's personality, she was like, "How do you know? Are you friends?" And I was like "..." ^_^'' Anyway, it went well, and since I didn't need to leave immediately, I headed over to the tea ceremony, which I was totally late to. ^_^'' I couldn't find the library basement! I'm glad I went though. It was really culturally enlightening, I guess you could say. It had a good feeling too, like a relaxed, peaceful feeling.

After that, I headed home to eat lunch and maybe accomplish something other than writing this post before I head to work. XD I have so much to do by next week... Studying for Japanese, and I have to read all of The Hobbit, which I haven't had a chance to even start yet cuz I've had other readings for that class... *dies* But I figure I'll leave a bit early for work today, cuz the place I work at on Wednesdays is about five seconds away from Oto's, so maybe I'll grab a Calpis and some an-pan and see if they have the latest Myojo. ♥
