Today was my last day of work at Kumon. Yay, the awkward times are over! And now I'm gonna have lots and lots of free time... Also, I'm gonna put in my two weeks at Target tomorrow. And my visa application is going to be in the works very soon. Slowly but surely getting ready to go to Japan. Weeeeeeird.
And while we're on the topic, do you guys who have lived/are currently living in Japan have any advice for stuff I should stock up on now that I won't be able to get in Japan? I've been told deodorant, and possibly feminine protection products as well, but is there anything else you guys know of? I want to be ~prepared~.
...I don't really have much else to say at the moment because my life has been kind of uneventful as of late, haha. SO. I've been wanting to do a music post for a while~
AAA: Makenai Kokoro
I've really enjoyed all of their recent singles, particularly since they switched to a pretty consistent dance style of music, and I don't know what it is about this song in particular, but I cannot get enough of it. It's catchy and fun and, idk, perfect. ♥

UVERworld: Gold
They're pretty much my favorite jrock band, and this song is kind of different for them, and possibly kind of ridiculous (lol look at all the Engrish), but it's just so catchy and yeah, I am kind of obsessed. GO-ON is also a pretty epic song. For the record. I couldn't find a pv, so have a performance!

S.R.S.: Wonder Song
Not a huge fan of most of their album as a whole, but this song. THIS SONG. It quickly became one of my favorite jrock songs after hearing it for the first time. Heck, it's worth it just for the fantastic pv. It's seriously so cute (and if I'm not mistaken, isn't she the girl who plays Aoi in Bloody Monday? But anyway).

SHINee: Lucifer
So yeah, I never really listened to SHINee before and I'm not a huge kpop fan in general (except for maybe DBSK and Big Bang to some degree), but, like Sorry Sorry for SuJu, this song is the one song of theirs that I heard and fell in love with and can't stop listening to. Plus the pv is kind of epic. You guys have probably all heard this song already though. lol

Bump of Chicken: R.I.P.
Embedding is disabled so
here's the pv. I don't know what it is about Bump, but their songs are just so good, in a kind of quiet, unassuming way. All of their recent singles have been fantastic, but I particularly love this song.
Daichi Miura: The Answer
Can someone explain to me why I've never heard of him before? He's incredibly talented, both as a singer and a dancer. This song in particular (his most recent?) is really catchy and I loved it from the first listen. I think you guys might like it too. :D

...Let's see, anything else? I downloaded one of Inoue Joe's albums last night and I've kind of been listening to it all day. He's really, really awesome, but we'll have to see if my love for his music sticks or not. The same goes for Weaver, whose mini-album (?) I dl'ed last night and it's really nice piano-driven music and as of my first listen or two, I think it's pretty great. There's probably other music I'm forgetting but this'll do for now, yes?
In other news, I started watching Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) last week. It's been kind of forever since I've watched an anime, but I love it. It's got a nice, dark feel to it, and the characters are really great. The plot is interesting too, and has a lot more continuity than I expected. I only have a few more episodes left, then I think there's an OVA, and then a second season that just aired (which is probably why I heard of it in the first place). Any of you guys familiar with it?
