LJ tells me it's been four days since my last post. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT. I just haven't seen inspired to write anything, I guess.
Let's see...highlights of my life since last I posted? Thursday, my brother and I went father's day shopping for my dad, which involved us going to Target for just normal shopping for ourselves, and then picked up some die cast Star Trek models while we were there (which my dad loved, by the way. He's such a nerd. XD). And then we went to YogYog, because that's what we do. ♥ Jamie came over on Friday for a Maou "marathon," but my brother was being dumb for some reason (even my mom said so) and started whining about being bored. I was like, um, then go do something else? I was really irritated at the time, haha. I hate when we don't get along because we almost always DO get along, so I was kind of like, what's the deal? In the end, we only watched three episodes. Why do our marathons always fail, Jamie?? Yesterday all I did was work all day long (I forgot how tiring 8 hour shifts are, since I haven't worked one in like six months, haha). Today was church (talked to a couple of the kids in the youth group about LOTR, which kind of made my morning), then went out to lunch (udon and gyoza at Osaka YAY) and YogYog (yes, again ♥) with Paul. Like the nerds that we are, we spent a lot of time talking about language, since he's taking sign language and is evidently getting pretty good at it. (Better than when he kept trying to talk to me about stupid microbiology and crap. >_>) So when he talks about sign language, I talk about Japanese. Too bad we don't have a common foreign language, although Paul said he was going to force me to learn some signs. I was like NO YOU CAN'T MAKE ME but I'm already starting to recognize some of them. XD;;
Random: I dl'ed some old Arashi performances from this incredibly amazing post and I watched, I think it was Ashita ni Mukatte on Shonen Club, and it really struck me in that performance how everyone looked so different back in 2000...except Nino. Almost ten years later and HE LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME. What the heck, Nino. Of course, all that's changed for Ohno is his hair, but. I was highly amused with all the Nino birthday posts that said "Happy 16th 26th birthday!" So true, so true. XD ♥
Oh oh! And in my second drama marathon of the summer (the first being Nodame Cantabile), I watched Love Shuffle last week. Yay panda~! I liked Nodame, but I LOVED Love Shuffle. You all who kept talking about it were so right. ♥ The premise makes it seem kind of...questionable, but the cast and characters were all fantastic, and the relationships ended up being incredibly sweet (even if I did figure out from the first episode who would end up together XD). I was really kind of in the mood for a more romantic drama, and this was unexpectedly satisfying in that aspect. Of course, the Tama-chans were awesome too. I think Tamaki Hiroshi and Daigo should for reals do manzai together. XD
