Mmmmm, food.

Today was a pretty fun day. Randy and Kat came over to complete our epic Maou marathon, which we successfully did. Six episodes in one day~ I have to say, it was just as enjoyable the second time through, and I got just as upset at *certain characters* (man I hate that stupid Yamano otaku guy), but already knowing what was going to happen made it less...stressful? And I didn't cry this time, haha. But man, watching it again, I was once again so impressed by how good of an actor Ohno is. I am about to start counting the days until Uta no Onii-san cuz I am SO EXCITED. :D

Anyway, we took a lunch break and went to Oto's, since it's been a while since I've been there and I guess Kat's never been there? Anyway, I chose a nice, balanced meal of yakisoba and onigiri for my lunch. Nothing like carbs with a side of carbs, right? Anyway, I loaded up on all the usual junk food- daifuku, dango, and Calpis, the best drink ever, in addition to something I've never tried before- these really amazing strawberry chocolates that I'm eating right now and they make me happy cuz they're so delicious. ♥ I thought about buying an-pan but I didn't, and now I wish I did, cuz I could eat that stuff every day of my life. Alas. Next time.

And tonight was the first night of youth group since like November, since it was on hiatus, in addition to sort of changing up formats, cuz now we're meeting at the church instead of at people's houses. I really enjoyed myself~ I really, really love those kids. They're a lot of fun to just hang out with and talk to. Plus I'm really excited because we're starting up student leadership, which means a bunch of kids are gonna be stepping up to actually run small groups themselves (with us adults kind of supervising), in addition to helping plan events and stuff too. One girl was nervous about signing up, but I could tell that she wanted to, and so I encouraged her to do it. She seems really excited. She was telling me that she's been praying a lot lately and that it's been really cool. Really encouraging to hear. Nothing makes me want to step up my own spiritual life more than seeing these kids on fire for God. I really have a lot of room for improvement too. I don't pray nearly as much as I should. :/

And just to throw some fandom in there, and cuz you should all read it, these scans and the interview translation are super amazing. Ohmiya in non-no, in which Ohno drew an aiaigasa in ketchup on the omurice they made. YES. On so many levels. ♥

I feel like I haven't been watching that much Arashi stuff lately. Although I did watch the new Odoroki no Arashi, which was pretty fantastic. The thing with trying to see if they could hear a song by driving by the band playing the different notes was actually really, really awesome. And did anyone really think the kelp boat was going to NOT sink? Although the way it happened was kind of awesome. And Sakuraiba's failure led to lecturing from the other members, and also a bit of Sakuraiba awesomeness which totally amused me. And Sho's fail in trying to make the smoke skull thing from Yattaman was just so very, very awesome. :D

EDIT: OKAY. So I just watched this week's Shukudai-kun, which isn't really that exciting cuz it's just deleted stuff from the Odoroki special, BUT. Man I love Ohno. At the end, they're like, "Ohno hasn't talked at all!" So they make him talk. Not the first time this has happened, of course. XD And so he tells the viewers to support the show. Except he calls it Arashi no Jikken-kun. (Jikken = experiment, a word they use a lot in the Odoroki special, obviously.) But seriously. Ohno. Even after they corrected him, he still said "Jikken-kun yoroshiku." ♥ And I just watched the most recently released G no Arashi, the one with the second half of the air band competition, and Ohno as Prince was so much win. Especially when he busted out his dance moves. XD
