The sick-lys
So, still sick. dayquil and nyquil have been staples. and well, I got Nick sick too... oops. my bad. home is, well, boring. mom called from work and woke me up around 1 today. oops. I finished wrapping christmas presents. I am trying to do laundry. I should probably organize my room. that equals disaster area. clothes everyewhere, mostly clean.
went with nick to trivia last night and found out that I totally suck at trivia. I have heard about most of it and once I hear it, I remember it which means I totally am useless at trivia. However, we won because I knew the final question, because I finally realized why I took astronomy. The question was somehting like "what was the sum total of the apollo missions that landed on the moon?" mwahahaha. I debated with one of Nick's friends because I was positive about which one was the last one. We were the only team to get it right! booyah! then we went back to his house and watched bill engavil stand up and then the shining, because I am an idiot. I really don't know movies. I put it in and he was telling me about it, but I wasn't paying attention... I had the laser light and was tantalizing his cat - making it scale the walls. When I looked up and saw that it was in color, i looked at nick with this confused look, and asked "wait, which one is in black and white that is about the holocoust?" "Uh, do you mean schindler's list?" "Yeah that one!! Oh, wait... this isn't it." Nick laughed for quite some time on that one. That movie was creeeeeppyyyyy! just weird. I made fun of most of it.
so a random deep meandering: at the resturant were we played trivia, there was a lake in the back. I stood out there and just looked. It was amazing, i sould still see a perfect reflection on it. I remembered what water is and what water does. Water is what sustains us. Water is what cleanses us. Water errodes. Water is powerful. Water when forced, can carve its own way. Water is amazing. That's when I realize the powerfulness of the metaphor of water in scripture - in baptism, especially. it was cool.
