oh, love.
life has been so crazy lately. i mean it's always crazy and i always say that... but recently i've felt like some sort of robot, who wakes up, goes to a school he really doesn't like, then goes to a school he absolutely adores where he gets to do what he absolutely adores for a little while, then goes home to eat, do homework, and sleep. it's been so weird. rehearsals for our show were crazy, but now that the show is over i should have a little more time on my hands. thank the good LORD.
recap of this past week-- holiday story fun!
monday and tuesday were our insanely long dress rehearsals. we opened on wednesday! it was a good show. jefferson evidently didn't think so, but i did. right after the show, i darted home with my mom because i had to study like WHOA for my american history AP test the next day. phewwww crazy. note to self: procrastination = not cool.
had another show on thursday that went super well, too. it was our smallest audience, though. lajola (me, kayla, and laura!) car rides are the ABSOLUTE BEST.
friday we had a show at 1:30 for other NOCCA students and then another one at 7 that night. the student audience was my far our most excited audience. haha. went to mcdonald's in between shows with cendra cae, kayla, april, vicki, etc. funfunfun. then liz, allison, j. shakes, the andersens, aimee, etc. came to the 7:00 show! thank you all so much for coming. we went to denny's after because it was the only place open late minus IHOP. fun times. haaaaaaaa josh + laura + sarah + kayla = los lonely cool people. ask and i'll explain.
saturday we had our last two performances. they both went super well. in between a couple of us walked to flora's and got coffee and stuff. went back and had a grrrrrrreat show. afterwards was griff's cast party. FUUUUN. awkward at times, though... haha. brian and chris... you crazy. i love my friends. especially when i watch them flail about in drunken stupor. played truth or dare. belted to christmas carols and danced about. hung out with sam for the greater portion of the night. my friends are crazy.
so... this marks the end of my first OFFICIAL NOCCA show, if you don't count summer session and stuff. i had so much fun. there were some really rough spots and a bunch of bad rehearsals, but this show has left me with no doubt that i want to do musical theatre for the rest of my life. blake made me cry EVERY CIRCLE. i love that man so much. he believes in me when i don't think anyone else can. i owe him so much.
cendra and sam are becoming some of my best friends. i really, really love them a whole lot. i'm glad they're in my life. and i strenghtened a lot of relationships i had with other people, too. of course, though, i still miss a lot of people. you guys will always be in my heart.
hazel just called me...? haha random, but i love her so muchhhhh. just wanted to state that. which reminds me. COLLEGE PEOPLE, YOU ALL BETTER CALL ME SO I CAN SEE YOU! and if you didn't get a chance to see the NOCCA show, we're doing an abbreviated version at christmas in the oaks on december 20th. come see it!
ps. WOW. a year flies by. december 10th?!
time to do homework... yuck. i love you guys so much!
