Have you ever felt like I do now?
Have you ever felt so lost?
You yearn so badly for one thing
But then God turns his back
He says, "No, not right now"
He says it isn't right
But how can Jesus say that
When everything was right?
So now I sit here hopelessly
Contemplating life
And just how precious it can be
And how sudden it can end
For in one very thing
You experience life
And in this moment it seems to be
That everything is right
But magicians live here in this world
Deceiving us in life
We emerge with battle wounds
Scars that never fade away
And nothing can ever manage
To push you far away
And somehow in this harsh cruel world
It is pushed aside
It is just a large facade
In which we all take part
We cry and sorrow but soon we see
That there truly is a light
So now here in this time
When nothing's going right
I sit and wait and hope to see
The promise of new life
I miss you more than words can say
But where God calls me
I must follow
Even if it doesn't seem right
I know God has a plan for me
And someday I may see
Just how this came to be
I ask you now for your pardon
To help me grow free
I know that some day su will shine
And I will see the light
But for now I travel my path
Alone, in darkness, to find the light
