Ok so...
Since I've been home...I busted my toe open opening the door, my dog had puppies and she stepped on the head of one of them, so we had to take the puppy to the vet, and she's not doing too well, My mom went to the hospital for chest pains...and she's ok now, and i had really bad stomach pains yesterday...they were so bad that i started to get dizzy and my sight was blurry...I thought i was dying or something...so my mom gave me this pill...i didn't know what it was...well, it was a painkiller. I won't even tell you what it did to me...hehe.
I wanna go home...to Texas.
I bet you never thought i'd say that!
But it really is like home now...
I still remember the first day i got there...
Yeah, this is the part where i get all sentimental and teary eyed...just go with me...
I remember i didn't sleep the night before i left and i barely ate anything that day. I felt really sick. I looked at the room i was going to be staying in for a year...and it was so plain...It didn't look like a home at all...I called my parents and i told them i didn't know if i could get through the year...After i got off the phone, i started to cry.
My roommate, Carolina, who was a january intern, came in and saw that i had been crying. She introduced herself and she talked about how she missed home and she couldn't just go back...because she lived in Costa Rica. She told me honestly that she didn't like the Honor Academy until being there for two months. Then when i felt better she asked me if i wanted to go on a tour of campus with her...she was on her lunch break...i didn't know at the time...so i said yeah...And guess where i went! I went into the kitchen...i don't know if we were allowed to do that, but we did... Ahhhhhh...the kitchen...how i nummy love my ministry placement...
*Daydreaming*
hehe! Anyways!
So after the little tour of campus...I came back to the dorm room and Carolina went back to work...When i came in the room i saw another new intern, Jamie, with her mom...I'm usually really shy when i first meet people, but i really needed to talk to a mom...and i started talking to Jamie's mom...and they thought it was strange that my parents didn't come. They both showed me so much compassion because they knew how homesick i was.
Later, my ACA, (Assistant Core Advisor) Francie, walked in the room. And she was just about the sweetest nicest girl in the world...She could see that i wasn't feeling too well. Later, she asked if i would come with her to the greeting ceremony...Well...i went with her...and almost everyone knew her. I felt like i was hanging out with a cheerleader at high school. She was pretty and sweet and the complete proverbs 31 women :OD Anyways, the whole time i was thinking: When is she going to start being mean? hehe...well, she never did...
At the Greeting Ceremony, I met my other new roommate, Nicole. I didn't really talk to her until later that night after we had a core meeting and we were going to bed. I called my mom and i was lying in my middle bunk with no room...in tears... After i got off the phone with my mom, Nicole came up to my bed and started to show me pictures she had of Jesus...and she showed me this one that had Jesus holding a heart with rays of light coming out of it...and it said..."Jesus, el confio mi"...which means, "Jesus, I trust you." Then she gave me a big hug and a kiss and said goodnight. I'll never forget that...
Well, in one room there's supposed to be six roommates...there was one girl that didn't show up...so we had an empty bunk...but about three days later, we found out we were going to have another roommate who needed to be in our room because she spoke mostly spanish, like Carolina. After we did the ropes course i came back to my room and i saw a pretty blonde haired, green eyed girl standing outside the room. I came up to the door and tried to open it...and she said, "it's locked." I started to talk to her, and i found out she was my new roommate...her name was Romina, and she was from Mexico...I kept telling her she was so pretty, and i think i probably scared her...hehe! We had to call the guard booth to open the door for us, since it likes to just randomly lock on it's own...and we went in the lobby and talked...she told me i talked too fast...hehe! imagine that!
Anyways...after that...all six of us became soooooo close...and we still are...we are like a little family...well...six people is kind of a big family...oh well...whatever!
So anyways...about a week later...we started our ministry placements....when i found out i got K Crew...i was floored...i thought i would hate it...i really loved it...the only thing was...i didn't think any of the other people on k-crew liked me...
well...i worked there for about two weeks...and then i got really sick with bronchitis...stinkin' dorms! anyways...after awhile...then totally forgot i worked with them...i came back about three weeks later...
They asked me who i was...AHHH!
they totally forgot me!
So, it took me awhile to start getting used to them...now we are a very big happy family...hehe!
I am on Dinner Crew! Fun Fun...I love my peoples...and i think they think I'm annoying but that's ok...cause it's stretching for them...that's good :O) I really can't help my being goofy...God made me that way...anyways...here are my dinner crew peoples...
