Interesting...
So me being a person who prides himself on indulging hedonism, corrupting every trace of innocence I find, and being for the most part and Evil man, was surprised to find something that rather disgusted me. For those of you who haven't heard a person in a room adjacent to ESPN reporter Erin Andrews filmed her naked in her room via peep hole and posted it on the internet. I'm sure you can find the video, just google it.
This upsets me on a number of levels. Being an indulger of almost every sexually deviant act possible I am generally understanding of kinks and fetishes, for instance that of voyeurism. I am even comfortable with the idea of pretending there is no consent. However, when there actually is no consent, like in this case with Ms. Andrews, I find myself disgusted beyond belief with a well of anger rising up from my core. This video, this invasion into the intimacy of a woman, is an act of a worm. Some pathetic creature, twisted into thinking that this is some how acceptable. I find myself sickened and enraged.
Now the interesting thing to me is indeed THAT reaction. For if Ms. Andrews had instead filmed herself and posted it on the internet I would be applauding and encouraging (In the metaphysical sense, I myself have never met the woman or heard of her before this scandal... in case you were wondering... you probably weren't). There is nothing that I enjoy more than watching the "moral decay" of society, sitting back and enjoying humanity as a whole spiral madly into a torrent of hedonism and instant gratification. I'm not sure why I derive such pleasure from watching people loose control and give over to their base instincts, especially since I am so adverse to doing so. But this... perhaps it is because her control was stripped from her. As the devil says, "Free will is like butterfly wings, once touched they never get off the ground." There is no corruption here. There is invasion, destruction, the beautiful mystic of femininity ripped asunder by the sexual cravings of yet another man. Perhaps I see this on par with rape. If that is the case then this man should suffer in the most abhorred way I can imagine... and I have quite the vivid imagination when it comes to pain.
