When I was a kid I was a good person full of hope and joy. No seriously. I used to stand up for kids that got picked on in school. I was the guy who almost missed his bus to run back to class with one of my classmates cuz they forgot to bring thier homework with them. I used to be a boyscout.
My favorite ninja turtle was leonardo because he was the most honorable and "good" one. I used to try to always be honest and believed that I could change the world for the better. I believed that people were inherently good and that I could defend good people against the forces of evil in the world. I used to go play in the woods and imagine saving princesses from the clutches of evil wizards and dragons and such. I wanted shiney armor and a horse and to be a brave knight type guy.
I wanted to be a hero.
Ironic I turned out to be the villian eh?
