long weekend!
I took today off to make a 4 day weekend. I have "squandered" the morning by sleeping late, laying in bed and reading, and watching crap on tv (ahem, Chelsea Lately). And now it's 11:37, I've had a nice breakfast and two cups of coffee (go go gadget caffeine!).
I need to go over to the duplex and trim hedges. Also, I need to scrape some bubbling paint so I can prime the bare spots and touch-up paint before winter. The place needs to look nice for the inspection which is usually in January or February. If not, I get a provisional pass and have to fix the defects as soon as the weather permits. I have enough of a headache just going through the inspection process.
I think I'm also going to stop by Dart Bank and get the ball rolling for a refinance of my house. The rates are down and I should have the couple of improvements I want finished done by the time an appraiser gets out here. I want a storm door on the front of the house and to fix up the deck so it looks like a proper deck, not an abortion attached to the back of my house. I wonder if it would be worth it to refinance the duplex too - the rates are down quite a bit. The difference is about 1% between what I'm paying and what the going rate is. Not sure if I qualify for the going rate because it's an income property. I guess I'll at least ask the question while I'm there.
