Chapter 5??! I'm completely confused how I missed Chapter 4! When did Chapter 4 happen?!

In any case, both chapters were very good - if you'll forgive my lack of descriptive elegance. Really, they're far, far better than just good with a very. ;)

I think what I love about Ducking (and your fics in general, even) is the sense of normalcy and smooth reality you're so easily able to portray. None of this story felt expressly fictional, which lends a... giddy sense of glee that these characters can be so real and with each other! - The natrual progression Remus acknowledges being neither imagined nor artificially induced through the unfolding of the story. And in terms of their story, which we are blissfully not told much about, I think your telling is absolutely believable, and, of course, preferable. :)

Early stars twinkled high in the sky which still clung on to a hue of delicate yellow at the horizon and juncture with the sea which seemed to rock slightly in tones of grey and steely blue.

You did it again - another incredible description! Not to play down all your many others, but this one really sticks out to me. It'll stick in my mind as yet another favorite. ;)

And you say there will be more? I'm totally stoked! :D

Sorry if this doesn't make sense; I tried, but the headache isn't being cooperative!

I never really got round to mentioning chapter four properly on my LJ, but it went up at ff.net.

Anyway, thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed both the chapters, and I'm really pleased that you find a sense of normalcy because that's exactly what I was trying to go for - to show how these two people can try and make whole and proper relationship around the duties they have in war.

Thanks for singling out that line, it's great to know that some of it stands out.

Yep, there will be more Ducking. I'm too fond of this particular pair to let them go just yet!

Thanks for leaving such a lovely review and I hope your headache gets better soon. :)
