1- interesting perspective but yes, according to catholicism(sp?) two things are reqired to go to heaven: faith AND good deeds, so why not eh?
2-at that time people noones really knew about Jesus in the first place so i cant see them specifically saying anythiing, but also, Jesus, although raised Jewish, was teh first christian and his son would be raised accordingly.
3- because by the time the idea of celebrating christmas came about, noone knew when he was born(thanks to the fall of the roman empire, which led to the dark ages and invasions by the gauls(( who didnt care much for books and written records if you catch my drift. Plus the transformation from the roman religion was a slow one, and saturnalia was probly still celebrated as tradition, so the church just spinned it and made it christian.
4- Jesus was depicted as a white man becuase noone knew what he really looked like, the image we most usually see is actually taken from greek paintings of zeus( an image which suggests wisdom and power), and also at the time renassaince artwork was putting s spin on religious figures anyway. he was painted as many different races and nationalities at the time.
that ladies logic is a tad on the funny side, in fact most bible scholars cant decide on questions like that. so it seems to be an opinion these days...
hehe well there ya go comment with questions..
enjoy
(ps yes i did go to catholic school)
