New story,
Warning: this is a slash story, but it won't get serious for a couple chapters.
Mike spread his wings as he leapt at the demon across from him. His crystal sword glinted in the sunlight as he landed the first couple blows, then darkened as the blade was coated in black blood. As the demon fell at his feet, he quickly turned his attention to the twelve other demons that now surrounded him.
His mighty blade sliced through the hearts of the red and black skinned demons around him. Each let out an agonizing scream as he plunged the sword through them. Finally reaching the last demon, Mike made a light jerk forward, sending the demon running in the opposite direction.
“And tell your leader that if he is afraid to face me head-on, that he should stop sending his lackeys,” Yelled Mike after his retreating enemy. Sheathing his sword, Mike flew off in search of the portal that he had used to access this desolate plane.
But as he reached the portal, a voice suddenly boomed over his head. “Attention Mister Lester! This is a message from planet earth! You are clear to return at any moment!”
Mike suddenly found himself back in his classroom, staring into the face of his slightly annoyed history teacher. Mike suddenly realized that he had been daydreaming again. Though this only seemed to happen in history class, Mike was often brought back to reality by a fellow student, or on the bad days, his history teacher, Mr. Black.
“I do not understand,” Stated Mr. Black, matter-of-factly, “why you find it so difficult to stay awake during my lectures.” Waving a hand at the rest of the class, Mr. Black said, “The rest of your class seems to be able to stay rooted to their seats,” Turning away from Mike, Mr. Black headed back to the front of his classroom. “Unlike you, who seems to always find something more interesting outside to stare at.”
Mike blushed slightly, as he said, “I am sorry Mr. Black. It won’t happen again. It‘s just that there was…”
“What?” Interrupted Mr. Black, “A bird, a plane, an other dimensional space ship?” Shaking his head, Mr. Black said, “I am sorry, but you have said those words far to often. You are going to have to stay after school and serve detention with me.”
Mike’s mouth fell open, “But sir…”
“No ‘buts’!” Said Mr. Black, suddenly seeming much more angry with Mike, “You will be here, and I don’t care what you miss,” Then, just as easily as he had seemed to loose his temper, he recomposed himself. “You should have considered that there would be consequences before you decided to stare off into space.”
Mike just stared at Mr. Black, his mouth hanging slightly open. How could Mr. Black do this to him? Mr. Black was one of the cool teachers. He never handed out detentions, and he never yelled at his students. Could daydreaming during class be really all that bad? “And since you can’t seem to close your mouth again,” Came Mr. Black’s voice, interrupting his thoughts again, “Would Dory next to you please be so kind as to spare us all from viewing that gaping black hole.
A few students around the room let out soft laughs as Mike quickly snapped his jaw shut. “And now…” Began Mr. Black, but he was interrupted by the door to his class swinging open. The entire class seemed to all shift their position, to watch as a new boy walked into the room.
“Hi,” Said the boy, frowning slightly, “My name is Sean Dareth, and I was sent here to your class.”
Kinda short, but I wanted to get this in before I went to bed. Didn't want to forget it.
