Also not likely to break into a million pieces! It's really heavy and strong like an ox because I carved it out of this big ass wad of clay that looked like elephant poop by the way. Plus glazing is like an extra shield on it, I learned a lesson! (Except you can't glaze something if it breaks because 1500C melts glue)
The inside doesn't show in the picture that great but the green is a bit bluer and has some random orange in places, which wasn't intentional but I thought came out nice... And the brown thing next to it is my cell phone case so there's a size comparison?
The lighthouse is also being fired currently but since the handle exploded, I have to glue it on, then add putty epoxy to cover up the cracks, and then paint on it (so it someone uses it they have to be careful not to scrub the handle or the paint will run.) The boat is done and has surprisingly wood like texture! Actually I don't really like the boat but everyone else says the colour/texture is really good...oh well, pictures soon on Monday.
I'm talking to much...but we're doing books at the moment and soon we're making journals so I scanned and copied the inside print of the moomin book you gave me and will use that for the cover of the journal.
I'm just pleased that I'm pleased with the outcome haha! Yeah, I'm letting jp have it for his birthday present along with some other stuff. I hope it survives shipping but it seems here they don't care if its marked fragile.
