(The recorder clicks on to a low, hesitant 'ahm...' before the speaker falls silent again. After a moment, there's a muffled gasp and a quick rustling of sheets. A small thud is heard and then a familiar female voice.)

(A moment's pause as he- she gets her bearings straight)
So that means... Val is...
Ngh.... I think... I need to get back... to bed...
(The transmission cuts out abruptly.)

Ok, so. Xem went out to go get some potions for Val, since she's still sick. But on his way back, he stumbled upon on of Bast's presents and, well, his curiosity got the better of him and he opened it. Thankfully, he was near the house. And now, he and Val have switched bodies. Xem!Val will most likely find Val!Xem passed out on the floor, from... probably shock. And that whole being sick thing probably didn't help.
