For the record, I would totally do my cousin.
I found out that (presumably since we were issued green cards) my parents identify as moderate with a conservative bent. ::pause to absorb muttered condolences:: Yes, they have a healthy antipathy for Bush, but my mom thinks liberal “sounds like a bad word” and my father is convinced that the GOP might be on to something every now and then.
So that makes Priya the last fortress of reason in the Kamath household.
I decided to spearhead dinner conversation last night and I go
“So, Priya, why are youuuuuuu a democrat.”
My star pupil falters. Instead, my none-too-bright cousin (aged “nine ninety-five”) pipes up,
“Ooh-can I tell you why I’m a democrat?”
Skeptical of his political acuity, I blandly prompt his elaboration.
“Because George Bush has been in office too long.”
Standing ovation of one.
"I want Jim Carrey to be president!"
::a beat::

I told Andrew I loved him today at work.
And Travis treats me like I sautéed his pet goldfish.
