He had finally done it. Aizen Sousuke, the Lord of Heaven. He smiled down from his throne into the darkness, watching as his servants brought forth the great stone sarcophagus that would bring him the one thing that he could not rule without. Granting lives was simple now that he was a god; he could do entirely as he pleased, and the King's Realm

The first and most important of these was the stone box that was pulling irrevocably on his soul, tugging him down and trying to trap him inside. Never being one to follow someone else's path when he was being forced, he exerted his rapidly returning will and pulled away from there.
He would come back to life, but it would be under his own terms.
So as Aizen lifted the lid of the sarcophagus he would find it empty, because the supposed resident was now laying naked and panting behind the throne.

"Stubborn fool," he whispered, into the emptiness, misery lacing his words. "Can't you obey a single order?"
He sighed, sinking down against the box, pulling his hands over his head.

It was strange to see Aizen so undone, and he wondered if he often behaved this way in private. The words resonated through the room, making Gin's trademark grin hitch into place.
"An' what order m'I s'pposed ta be obeyin'?"

He stood up, slowly, pushing his hand absently back through his hair and looking at Gin quietly.
"You aren't real."

His smile hitching ever higher, he leant on Aizen's shoulder with one bony arm, skeletal body curving almost gracefully to rest on him.
"Feel pretty solid fo' someone that ain't real, ne?"

"The box was empty," he said, as though that, logically, was the only explanation.

"Sho' is." He agreed, leaning back again. "Didn' like th'look of it."

"You..."
"Just like you."
He looped his arm around Gin's hips, pulling him closer, exhaling harder than he meant to. "It's really you."

"Yo' brought me back."

"I brought you back," he agreed. "It took forever, but I brought you back."

"Miss me~?"

"Do you remember dying?"

Not that he would voice this to Aizen, not that he would start this second life with anything other than a resolve to keep the upper hand. But the other man needed an answer, and he had just the words to let him know he remembered it all.
"...Gods don' cry, Sousuke..." He murmured.

Instead he held the other man closer, brushing his hand back through his hair, leaning against him eagerly.
"I wanted nothing except to die when I lost you. I have never wished for anything more clearly in my life."

That Aizen would have wanted to die when Gin did... Such a powerful emotion being felt for him, that wasn't hatred or fear, it was confusing and overwhelming.
For once he didn't want to mock, and his liar's tongue spoke no twisted words to bind and confuse the vulnerable one holding him. Instead, he brought his arms properly around Aizen and allowed him to gain comfort from just being there, his own words soft.
"Aaaa. S'a good job yo' didn' die, or I wouldn' be here, ne?"
Reply
"The next time you have a choice," he said, sternly, "Between dying and taking help when it is offered to you, you will choose the help, no matter who it comes from. Do you understand?"
