Sandbox: Aizen and Gin 2

He had finally done it. Aizen Sousuke, the Lord of Heaven. He smiled down from his throne into the darkness, watching as his servants brought forth the great stone sarcophagus that would bring him the one thing that he could not rule without. Granting lives was simple now that he was a god; he could do entirely as he pleased, and the King's Realm was full of such interesting things, many which had never been used for the power that they held, or had been used only in the past, and never recently. The sarcophagus was one of those things. It was dusty and ancient, almost fve thousand years old, and covered in writing that only Aizen Sousuke understood, thanks to his position and the knowledge that it afforded him.

He looked over toward Orihime, smiling at her. In order to work the device, two would have to be in agreement, exerting the same powers on the box. Aizen, with his own new powers, and Orihime with the ones given her by her birthright. He moved to the box, placing his hands on the lid, then gently opened the box and looked inside. He drew a piece of parchment that he had inscribed boldly, earlier, with the letters of Gin's name, considering the man as he spoke. It was all that was necessary to be placed inside the box. Sentimental words held such love and power; a name considered with the owner of it in mind. Good.

He replaced the lid and withdrew, placing his hands against the place where he was supposed to touch, looking to Orihime, who did the same on the other side. A few moments later a gong sounded with no apparent source, and he straightened up, motioning toward Orihime for her to leave, and waiting until the doors were closed before he reached for the lid of the sarcophagus again.

Gin. It must be Gin.

He heaved the lid open again, looking inside, hope leaping in his heart.
