I don't like the Intenet, or AIM.
I don't believe in semi automatics, or weed.
I don't play Playstation or xbox.
I like hide and seek at dusk.
I like playing kickball, dodge ball and handball until the porch light comes on.
I say, “Mother, may I?”
I like Red Rover.
Four Square.
Hula Hoops.
I like running through sprinklers.
I still buy Happy Meals.
I miss Saturday morning cartoons, like Hey Arnold, Doug…
Ghostwriter… and Are You Afraid of the Dark still scares me.
I still get excited on Christmas Morning, and on the first day of school.
I still say my Bedtime Prayers and give goodnight kisses.
I like climbing trees, and getting ice cream off the ice cream truck.
I jump down steps, and jump on the bed.
I like pillow fights, and running until I’m out of breath
Laughing so hard that my stomach hurts and I almost pee myself
Being tired from playing all day.
I still remember my first crush.
I miss rainy days at school, playing “7-Up” and “Bingo”.
Kool-Aid is still the drink of the summer.
I still have a glass of strawberry-milk before I go to bed.
I like wearing my new shoes to school.
I enjoy class field trips.
Getting high for me, is swinging on the swing-set.
My parents take me to McDonalds and I feel so cool.
I wish my decisions were made by going "eeny-meeny-miney-moe";
and that mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "do over!";
and that “Race issue” meant arguing about who ran the fastest;
and money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in monopoly";
and the worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties.
I like catching fireflies, it can happily occupy my entire evening.
It isn't odd to have two or three "best" friends.
No one is prettier than Mom.
