Superstar: Thoughts on Luther
Has anyone gotten the Luther Vandross tribute CD? It's really, REALLY good. Mary J. ROCKED Never too Much, my fav. Luther song of all time. I really liked just about all of them, except Donna Summer's Power of Love (does NOT translate well into a disco song) and Celine Dion's (whom I despise)Dance with My Father. (Actually, I don't know whether I liked that one or not, I immediately turned it. That's the one Luther song I can't and haven't listened to in its entirety, too painful.) Listening to that made me realize what a treasure we've lost. He has SO MUCH good music, and each song evokes a memory from my life, sometimes good, and sometimes not so good, but I can always pinpoint what was happening with me based on the song. I will really miss his beautiful voice.
