has anyone read the new adbusters?
fuck that magazine. unless the lastest issue was written to be tounge and cheek, it stands as the most blown out of proportion pieces of paranoid propaganda i have ever read, next to anything put out by crimethinc. i am thankful that i live in new york so i know that when they say that everyone has stoped thier lives as normal and are moving out of the city in droves, i know that they are lying. they made it sounds as though the world is ending. (perhaps it is though, but whatever, just fucking adapt.)
my main question why would they make up all of this stuff?
also, they made mention about what philosopher's theories hold the most validity in this point in time. i found this very interesting because they said that baudrillard's thoughts are not relevant. i do know know all that much about him, but i know that his ideas are probably the most important. perception of reality is biggest thing now. let this issue of adbusters stand as an example of what i mean. come on adbusters quite being such babies and stop writing about the end of the world and just enjoy it.
is bush going to win and make eveyone unhappy?
but then again, if bush wins will we be unhappy? i am sure that if he wins tomrrow will be an awful day and subsequently an awful four years, but will the world end? i hope so. maybe that will be what it takes to make a lot of people happy.
what is the fucking deal with the entire middle of the county?
what is it about progress and looking at things with an open mind that frightens so many people? to me, it makes me feel stupid, like i am the one who is just not getting it. is there something about war and reckless spending and terrible public speaking skills that is really awesome and something that this country wants to keep going with?
it makes me really bummed out to watch what is going on now. is george bush secretly a great guy and this awesomeness just not captured through any form of media? or are these people who love this gentleman just getting tons of money, either directly or through tax cuts? who knows and does that even really matter? so far it is obvious that it does not matter. hurray for a strong class system, it makes so much sense.
