Mixed Feelings.
I have mixed feelings about PoA's possible Oscar nominations. Of course I think it would be good for Cuaron, and I'd be thrilled if PoA was nominated for best director. And John Williams definitely outdid himself with the score, bringing forth a much darker, much more atmospheric soundtrack than the sugary sweet themes running through SS and CoS. So he should get nominated as well, I think.
Now then. I must say that I am horrified - I repeat, horrified - that there are even whispers of Kloves getting an Oscar nom for Best Screenplay. The way he butchers canon for no apparent reason has been ranted about so much that I don't even think I have to specify why. But if Kloves even gets a nom, I'm afraid he's around for the long haul with the film series. And this is a scary, disappointing, frustrating thing indeed.
