Ok, so, I really really enjoy Professor Walters. He is a philosopher of his art. For instance, as we talked of antibonding orbitals and energies of maintaining bonds, he said, "High energy is bad, right?" We all nod. "It is not bad," he replies. "We must remember to be dispassionate."

Reflect upon this koan:
Consider the tale of a novice who instantly responded when the Zen master shouted this koan to the group: "Call me anything you wish, but not 'water jug'." The novice ran up and kicked over the jug, thus proving his enlightenment.

The last four songs of Brian Eno's Before and After Science are among the best songs I have ever heard in my existence. They wash over, and like those waves upon rocks, tears form at the edge of eye-lid. Incredible. "Spider and I" hits so damn hard. "Julie with..." is the most stirring break-up song I've ever heard. I am considering making a tape of break-up songs and sending them to someone. I have that "Julie with...", essentially all of The Sounds's canon, and some damn good Zappa. But I don't want to put that much energy into that topic currently.

Related perhaps: I think I have forgotten her face. Oh well.

I need to buy some tweezers, and read some Plato.
