So... Things are finally starting to not be a blur anymore. I am starting to remember the events of this past weekend.
!gnite Lock-In was Friday night-Sat. morning. I can truly say now that I have officially stayed up for over 24 hours without even dozing off. NO SLEEP... God truly does sustain those who serve Him...
Despite how exhausting the entire event was, it was truly worth it. While Chris Ryp's team rocked out with an amazing worship session (at 11pm), I just looked at the kids and was so blessed. God showed me how much of a privalege it is to serve Him in !gnite. I was so thankful for His giving me the opportunity to make an impact on these kids' lives. I love how serving the Lord can be sooo much FUN and yet truly impacting at the same time....
Yeah... so... here's some random things that happened:
*Pizza somewhere in the ten o'clock hour
*Kareoke w/ leaders and kids
*Inflatable bungee game/inflatable jumping house- FUN ALL NIGHT LONG
--> when it's 4 in the morning and your really tired... and nice bungee cord can really wake you up
*Ice cream around 3am i believe
*Ice socks game- A sock is frozen in a block of ice and the teams must get the sock free and put it on...
*Revenge of the mummy- toilet paper and mummy pretty much explain enough
*Slurpee race- two comepeted to finish a gallon slurpee first
*Random morning jog
*Purple elepahnt gift exchange- many pictures of Andy were given away lol... lucky kids...
*6am movie- CHICKEN LITTLE
*Then breakfast was somewhere round 7:30 which was followed by clean up...
These are only a FEW of the events that went on... I'll just say that there was enough to make me go... "I cannot believe the sun is rising... It's the morning!"
I got home around 10:45 am Sat. morning. Spent the day sleeping and watching tv... Missed church today cause I was still wiped but I am feeling much better now.
God is good and faithful to give His servants the strength to endure and then the rest to recover
We serve a good God...
