Can you tell i'm bored?
Well, I DO eat lunch with Russell every other day. It is almost impossible to avoid talking about philosiphy when around him. So, since I haven't exactally discussed my views in this Journal, here goes. Damn you, Russell.
Let's start with what categories I fit into in the span of my life:
ages 1-14: Definatley had strictly catholic, closed-minded and un questioning for fear of going to hell. If you're reading and you're catholic, sorry, no offense
ages 14-15 1/2: During these ages I was definatley agnostic, I don't think i've ever told anyone that, but I was. And I still kinda am.
15 1/2-now: undefined. Yeah, I don't really fit into any category
this is going to be a big list of my opinions. Things the catholic church considers evil:
1)Homosexuality- I definatley have to disagree. I don't think there's anything wrong with being gay or bi. I don't even think it's a choice. I am very opinionated on this matter. The church says it's okay to be gay as long as you don't act on it. So...they're just supposed to pretend they're something they're not and be miserable for their lives? Bullshit.I've asked why it's considered evil. the only answer is it's not pro-creative. WTF? who cares?
2)Artificial contraception- Disagree, again. It's also not pro-creative. What retards. A man obviously made this rule.
3)Anyone who isn't christian-...must I even comment on this? It's fucked up, I do not believe it. As long as you're a good person, I think you'll be okay.
4)Abortion- Well, this is one matter that I do kind of agree on. I don't think it's okay to kill a baby. But in the situation where the mother and the baby will die, i dunno... what else can they do?
5)Murder- this is a subject where the church contradicts itself. They say 'Thou shalt not kill' but, then they go on the crusades. They like to make loop holes for this stuff. I'm not really sure what my exact thoughts are on this...
6)Witches- I've met a couple people who were into wicca, and they were some of the nicest people i've ever met.
7)Satan- obviously bad.
8)pre-marital sex- well, i'm not planning on doing it, but I'm not going to think you're evil if you do. I'm not really very opinionated on this...
yeah, confirmation is in a couple months, and it's scaring me. I'm going to get smited.
