Today was a wet, cold, misearble day, and I realized that I left my jacket at Ellsworth House, so all I had to protect myself from the rain and the cold was my sweatshirt. I called Bowie at quarter past 7 this morning and asked him to hang on to my jacket for me. "So you called at 7:15?" he asked. "Uhh, I thought you'd be up getting ready for work." "Yeah, just next time make it 7:30." I thought it was silly, though I'll agree that sleeping an extra fifteen minutes is sometimes the difference between a bearable day and a shitty day. In the end, he said he keep my jacket safe.
So I got to school a little cold an a little damp but no more worse for the wear and made for my English class where I hoped to find warmth. I got shot down. It was cold. However, when my professor walked in, she came up to me and said that I wrote a good essay for my midterm and that she really liked it. That was the shit. I then spent the next fifty minutes listening to this class' version of Snobby Man make a fool out of him self by repeating points already made by others, attempting to disguise them with an eloquence of speech that he so eloquently didn't posses. He also had to point out multiple times that he had read ALL of Hemingway's stuff. That may be, but you're still a dick. After that was Ancient Epic Tales, where about 12 of the 40 or so students showed up. The professor said that she expected people to be late because of the rain. As Joe later pointed out, "no, it's not because of the rain. It's because the class is boring." There really isn't a Snobby Person in that class. The one who comes closest (though nowhere near the snobbery of the others I've mentioned in previous posts) is a girl who sits by Joe, shaking her head and scowling whenever the professor says something. She's actually kinda hot…
I'll be heading to down to La Casa de Matt for some A Game of Thrones lovlieness in about a half-hour. It should be beautiful. Hopefully he won't hustle me too badly for those cards I want. Unfortuantely, we won't be making it over to Santa Cruz for Josh's barbeque. I'm hoping to head down next Saturday after work, so all you Cruzians: BE PREPARED.
D@s all for now!
