So, I have been busy. Because of the quarter system, I have 3 tests per class, 2 "midterms" that are actually like "thirdterms," and a final. Well that means that last time I talked about my first midterms that were coming up, and they aren't stopping, next math midterm is Friday. Ok, I have been having a lot of fun. Halo games of 10-12 people. I'm getting ok. Hanging out, Basketball, watching movies. Staying up late on election day as Big Mike (some of you saw his Pic) fretted over Ohio till I got sick of him and went to bed. Halloween weekend at home was the highlight, seeing my beautiful and spending so much time with her. Sorry Daver if we made the drive from the airport uncomfortable as we were all over each other.... It had been a while. Conrad, wish we had more time, next time you better tell your boss you need that weekend off or something. I turned in a paper today on "Freudian Analysis of Babylonian Cosmology" if anyone wants to read it catch me on aim or leave a message here and I'll send it to you. More interesting than most, and my first college essay! Any way, Bush won!! Yay. No I didn't vote. I knew Arizona would go for Bush, they didn't need my vote, and they never sent me my absentee ballot. I am glad Bush one for many reasons, so I'm going to post here for those who don't read Erich's LJ a few of those reasons. This is a Copy paste, but it is my writing.
Everyone who wants to can flame away at this, but here goes. Bush is a better choice for the country. You want another September 11..... Kerry would have given it a better chance of happening. In the power shift from Bush to Kerry, he replaces key positions in the government, including those in the Cia and other information organizations. While the new guys get briefed, there is a temporary breakdown in communication, which is why September 11th could occur. Secondly, if Kerry got elected, he has to deal with Iraq. First option, pull out all the troops immediately. Sure no more Americans get hurt..... but a few million Iraqi's do. We leave them with no government and no police. Degenerates into either a harbor for terrorists and anarchists or if the nation pulls itself together, one that hates us. Also makes us look like douche bags in the UN. Or he leaves the troops and finishes Bush's plan to withdraw orderly.... wait, then he angers all the people who voted for him when he said he would save any more Americans from dying in Iraq, and he's no better than Bush. Third, Bush has kept an economy that was going to shit when he came into office from going DEEPER into shit. You can't fix it overnight, and it was going down whether Gore was President or Bush was. Finally..... at least Bush can take a stand on domestic issues such as Homosexuality. Which, in the first place he's right not to allow. Give them legal partnership, the ability to have shared finances. But MARRIAGE is not a state form of binding, its a religious form of binding. If the religion doesn't permit MARRIAGE of homosexuals, they are well within the right to do so. Also, to refute Erich's first point, Bush does support education fully, your precious federal grant isn't going anywhere. However, if you get good enough grades, you don't even have to worry about it, the school will give you the grants. I can't afford college, so the school gave me a grant themselves out of money they raised from alumni, because I did well in school and earned it.
I know this is a long post, but it has been a while
