Update and future plans...
So Kris and I got an apartment in Thorold. 2 Bedroom, lots of space and a total 4 closets that could be classified as small walk-ins or 4 large non-walk-ins. Only 725/month all inclusive go me! We move in May 1st or the weekend before. His parents/ uncle/ grandma are all giving us stuff. Parents are giving us 2 couches, dishes, and coffee. Grandma is giving us whatever we want because she's been saving Kris stuff for years and Uncle Jim is giving us an apartment size chest freezer. All for free. (go family!) We are also getting 2 glass top end tables and a nice entertainment centre from previous attendants (for free as well) and the superintendent is selling us a gorgeous practically new (matching) dining room set (mainly black) for only $75. So the only things we need furniture wise are a lazy boy, computor desk, twin mattress, and a fish tank with stand. If anyone has those things and wants to get rid of them let me know or if they know of anyone who wants to get rid of them. Thankfully yard sale season is starting up soon.
Excited to start work on my Buffy thesis (until I actually have to do it and then I'm sure I'll hate doing it). But I have to finish THIS year's work first.
In July my friend in Sault St. Marie is getting married and if her step sister (who i am also friends with) cannot make it I will be maid of honor!
Found out today that my oldest cousin on my mom's side is going to be a father because his gf is due in Sept! so that is great news, it has been 11 years since a baby has been born on that side of the family (and my parents have informed that this is not a hint to have a kid because they do not want to be reminded that they are old enough to be grandparents!)
So ya other than the apartment, school, wedding, and birth not much is in the mix for the summer. I plan on staying with my job and instead of getting a second job I'm going to be looking for volunteer jobs with YWCA and Women's Place. Both of which will help me in the future.
So once I get all settled in the apartment I'll let people know when parties are happening and get togethers, game nights etc. And if anyone has any of the items I'm looking for let me know. I also have a table that might be available plus mix and matched chairs it just depends on whether or not we have room for a second table.
P.S. Any cool pictures/posters or things that can decorate a wall could also be used as well but not a necessity (i can't even remember what I have any more)!
