I'm afraid, through no one's fault, really, I'm in a bit of a state. I'm sorry if you needed to speak with me, but I was a bit wrapped up in my own thoughts around lunchtime, so I was of no help. Again, I'm quite sorry.
I rather hate to be damned if I do, though. As well as damned if I don't.

We should talk. Soon.

Yes, we do need to talk. I'll meet you in the Arithmancy section of the library, if you like, in an hour, so you can finish whatever you're doing with Malfoy?

You're my friend, Hermione. I don't want you upset with me.

Would you feel better if I broke things off? Surely that would ensure her saftey in this war torn world. Potter nearly gets himself killed every year and I see no one cautioning you against him. Funny, that. This is likely for two reasons: 1) No one cares who the sod you befriend or 2) People assume that you are a 'big girl' and therefore able to make your own decisions. Though I'm inclined to pick number 1, I'll give you the rare benefit of my doubt and assume that number 2 applies as well.

You're right. Go meet Padma in the library. I don't think I'm going there right now.
